Extrusion problem with Ultimaker 2+

Posted · Extrusion problem with Ultimaker 2+

Hi,

I started to have problems with my Ultimaker 2+ recently. It appeared quite suddenly, without any apparent reason. The PLA filament is not extruded properly, the invariably it gets stuck while the feeder continues to push the PLA and dislodge the plastic tube (bowden) at the top of the feeder.

I lost tracked how many times I dismantled the machine, and tried everything I could think of: obviously cleaned the nozzle, also replaced the nozzle with a brand new one, tried different PLA, cleaned again the nozzle, suspected temperature problem so I changed the temperature sensor…

Could it be just a problem of grip of the bowden in the feeder? I dismantled it but didn't see any particular problem.

I’m out of ideas, so any suggestions would be welcomed.

Many thanks.
