I installed the mesh macro and now everything has come up over sized.

I was running version 5.4 but installed version 6.1 thinking this might fix my problem but unfortunately it did not.

You may have to be more specific about what this "mesh macro" is.

There is no Cura version 6.1 - the latest is 5.7.2 😕 Or are you not talking about Cura?

It could be that STL files don't actually contain a size - just numeric co-ordinates. Conventionally they're in millimetres but not all software will export them at that scale.

Just click your model to select it, click the Scale image.png.eccc55ae83cbb9b607e6a24b976dbe67.png button on the toolbar, and enter how big it should be.

I think @easye installed the Mesh Tools plugin in Cura 5.6.1. At some point they changed the "Unit for files that don't specify a unit" option in Extensions -> Mesh Tools -> Mesh Tools Settings and forgot about that change. If they reset that option back to "mm", Cura will behave like it did before.
