Z-axis troubles

after 3 months i still have not been able to produce a decent print.

my prints are about 1.6 to 1.7 times to high.

I think the main problem is the z axis.

The threaded rod is 300 mm long, when mounted there is a gap of about 5 mm between the top plate and the rod.

is the rod too short ? my guess is it should be 310 mm. also it is also not aligned with the mounting hole

the second problem is the lead bolt on the print bed. its loose, how do place it firmly ?

The lead bolt, I guess you mean the drive nut?

It should be held firmly together by the wooden parts. On my machine it took a bit of force to get everything to fit.

The Z drive screw is shorter then the machine, so it's normal that you have a gap there. The axes keep the bed in X/Y place, not the screw.

Make sure your Z drive screw is all the way in the coupling, there should be no gap between the start of the thread and the coupling with the motor.

Finally, check you electronics, maybe the Z jumpers are wrong, there should be 2 connected and 2 disconnected jumper on the Z motor controller, see:
