Hello,

I have this vase I made in 3dsMax and when printing it with spiralize I still have a seem visible. This time the seem is not at every layer and is not cause by a z step but looks to be caused by a toolpath movement.

This is the model

Looking in layer view you can see small steps every now and then which I usually don't see in objects that have corners in them.

move

This can be reproduced in 14.07, 14.12 and 15.01 RC3.

Settings seems to have few effect on it but just in case:

0.08 layer height

0.8 shell

1 top/bottom

0 infill

0.4 nozzle

spiralize on

Cura will only start on a edge between 2 polygons, so maybe there isn't a close edge to start and thus it needs to move over a bit for the nearest edge?

The file is available above and the edges are very constant. Its making a move every now and then. Maybe it fit where the horizontal edges are.

Still that is creating a gap and makes a seem :(
