Too much or too little tension in filament feeder?

There are a lot of filaments around. A lot of them are REALLY bad. I only use premium brands these days.
  3. I just read the statement. My real inconvenience now is that I cannot get a reliable estimate on delivery of the parts. A suggestion for a real sorry would be the following. Why not deliver a spare print head with the new sensor and heater on my doormat soon. And please o please a set of bed clips, my fingers hurt. Just leave out the parts I don't need. I really don't need the new extruder, the rods, or the valentine style gift wrap box or extra nozzles. I already invested in BondTech extruder (which in my humble opinion is MUCH better than de extruder that's in the upgrade package). I already own the Olsson block. Set priorities right and just deliver me the parts I need for a low price to make up for the inconveniences. To make up for all these underextrusion problems that have troubled me since the day I bought my UM2. This would definitely bring back my love for the Ultimaker company. Or at least a bit.
  4. Just wondering what will happen if I run let's say 3 spools of CopperFill through this feeder (this material is abbrasive!). Wil it survive? Any idea on which parts need to be replaced if this happens?
  5. I've had the BondTech on my Kossel delta for months. It just pushes the filament right, I really do like it, and it's a marvelous piece of engineering. So I decided to go for the BondTech on both of my UM2's.

    Ulti-Evening 4 April | Extrusion upgrade

Groet! Merijn
  7. ZBrush... doesn't surprise me :-) For simple support work I use Cura. Statues from animals, people, I use preferrably Meshmixer. But also Simplify3D sometimes comes to the rescue... What I like about Meshmixer is you can draw in supports manually and so have perfect control where the supports are put. Sometimes the program crashes but most of the times the program does it job nicely!
  8. Wow qmaker this looks amazing!!!! Just a question: how is the model created?

    Moving people

    easy to use 3D CAD-Software

From the initial question. If parameterization is needed. Depends a littlebit on what kind of models you would like to create. - DSM/SpaceClaim: no history, so if you make a mistake at the beginning of you're model, this software is very forgiving.... - Fusion360: interesting piece of software. didn't steal my heart (yet...) - Rhino: With grasshopper you get parameterization to the max. Just spend some time with it, it's really untuïtive but you need to learn the basics. Also when you make your decision. Spent at least several months creating lotz of designs. And then draw conclusions. As a 3d modeler it's common to have several software packages in the toolbox! Did I already mention I really LOVE T-Splines and it's available for Rhino, and standard inside Fusion360?

Leuk gedaan Arjan!

    3d print avondje in Rotterdam

    small airflow deflector

Very cool. Did you notice any difference on extrusion while using this deflector?
