  1. Don't be too hard on yourself; I must say it is a bit of a mystery to me why this was changed.
  2. What OS do you use? On Windows, the Cura version you install should be totally independent of any version of Python you have installed.
  3. The function of the "Custom >" button has been moved to the "Show Custom" link above the Infill slider.
  4. If the above works for you, then uncheck the "Restore window position on start" checkbox in the General preferences. Cura will then no longer use those two lines.
  5. Then you are going to have to share a link to the model so I (or someone else) can hev a look at what is going wrong.
  6. we press the buttons and printer goes "weepweep" (for a couple of hours)
  7. Try loading the model into 3D Builder (which comes free with Windows). It will complain that the model is "invalidly defined" and offer to repair it. Then export the model as a new version.
  8. I don't fully understand why exactly, but lowering the `Maximum Resolution` setting (under `Mesh Fixes`) to 0.2 or lower seems to fix the issue for this model. See https://github.com/Ghostkeeper/SettingsGuide/blob/48b3c7902c6401cf43fffd14795947c74cd02275/resources/articles/meshfix/meshfix_maximum_deviation.md for more information about the setting
  9. Could you attach a project file? Use File -> Save project...; the 3mf you attached in your opening post seems to have been created with File -> export... A project contains the model and your settings; an exported model only contains the model (geometry).
  10. No, it won't. That "first floor" about 5% up from the bottom is mostly unsupported; those few pins don't change that.
  11. Better yet, put them in the respective folders of the configuration folder (Help -> Show configuration folder); that works on all platforms.
  12. Sorry, due to circumstances I cannot currently look into it. Perhaps @GregValiant has some sage advice; he is quite knowledgeable about Enders too.
  13. In cases such as this, it really helps to post a link to a project file. A project file (File -> Save project...) gives us both your model and all the settings you currently use. That way we can help you more optimally.
  14. Can you perhaps use a few more words to describe your problem, and what happened before? Did you update something? If so, what did you update from? Any of us being able to help you depends on us knowing what is going on.
  15. See the setting "Top/Bottom Line Directions", and set it to [45,90,135,0] (don't forget the brackets)
  16. There is no functionality in Cura to get you this angle. So the angle between the horizontal and the surface normal?
  17. @Cuq this is the sort of issue why you should not just willy-nilly recommend people to run Cura as administrator.
  18. Please do not suggest that as a general "catch all" solution to unspecified crashes. It can lead to other problems later on! Your screenshot says nothing about what is going wrong. The information in the detailed crash report would. Launching Cura as Administrator may help in your specific case, but for other crashes it may make things worse.
  19. Tip: share a project file instead of a set of screenshots. That way we get to see *all* of your settings, as well as the model, and we can give you much better advice. Use File -> Save project... to create a project file.
  20. Always hard to judge an issue from a single screenshot. You could try setting the "Top/Bottom Pattern" to "Concentric" instead of "Lines".
  21. Have you tested if this behavior is new to Cura 5.4, or has this always been the case? I would think the latter.
  22. The plugin is now available via the Marketplace. Enjoy! Edit: And for those that use the Cura 5.4 beta released today, here's a prerelease of the plugin for that verion too: https://github.com/fieldOfView/Cura-TabbedSettingsPlugin/releases/tag/v1.0.1-DEV
  23. The functionality has been on a "short list" of things to contribute to the Cura project for a long time, but that list is not all that short unfortunately.
  24. No, Cura does not have functionlity to specify a custom set of settings for overlaps.
