  1. I think I posted a longer yoke somewhere in the thread but I can't remember if I updated the file on Youmagine, I think I did.

Also, I know people hate the little spacers and I've tweaked the design slightly to get rid of them. Haven't printed it yet though. Also want to tweak the arm for printability. Inspiration has been a bit low lately though.

    Hi Robert

You did increase the travel of the Yoke at my request page 21 of this thread... you also adjusted the guide for me to fit it also on page 22 of this thread....

I am also testing UltiArjan feeder a page back and it is working well, but i did have to increase the travel on the yoke for that too by 2mm, next is to test some ninja with it.....

  2. Hi Shurik

I have printed the bunny and some others ok for my wife on my UM2, the only difference is i am using iroberts feeder but that should not make any difference. I get no grinding of the filament.

Settings i am using are as follows.

    Temp: 205 degrees

    Bed: 60 degress

    speed: 40

    Retraction: standard setting in Cura

    Faberdashery filament

    veron

    Kangaroo

  3. Hi David

I do a lot of testing of different filaments for them, have a look in there guide under UM2 you will see some of my prints, they are only down the road to me.. There PLA is 3mm diameter not 2.85 and it comes from china, it works ok through the bowden tube but i just don't like the material very brittle but OK for unimportant prints, so i only use faberdashery/colorfabbs for PLA.

I have tested all of there branded name filament like the PET+ Ninja flex, biofilla, bridge nylon, laybrick etc

If you want a direct contact email address PM me and i will give you one and you can email them direct with any questions...

  4. Hi Didier

I have a loads of faberdashery filament i think there is only a few colors i don't have or haven't had, but i do have all four colors you have received, I normally use a temp of 220 and a bed temp of 60 at layer heights of .1 and i would normally raise the temp to around 225 to 230 if using layers of 0.15 - 0.2 My bed always has some glue stick on it at all times i just give it a wipe with a damp cloth every print then after a few days of use i normally add some fresh stuff, my glass never gets washed just wiped with a damp cloth so there is always some residue of glue on it...

  5. OK guys here goes be nice.... Just to let you guys know i do not have an artistic bone in my body, i can not draw to save my life. but after seeing some of the Zbrush designs here i thought i need to give it a go and see what happens.. I watched a couple of you tube videos then spent the last couple of evenings sculpting my first sculpt with my very limited knowledge of using the software...

So here are the results and it's all mine how satisfying...

    Zbrush design

    pica alien bust

    Printed results.

  6. Got my biofila samples through so thought i would test the Silk first as we have a Linen thread already.

The print is very very smooth and you can not see the layers but it does not look nothing like the shiny surface as per the photo on there http://www.two-bears.eu/Startseite_E/products/biofila_silk.html only real difference in there settings was they used layers of .25 not sure if this would make that much difference but will try latter to see.

    Temp: 175

    Speed: 40

    Layer: 1.5

    Retraction on

    Bed Temp: 60

  7. Hi Didier

Not to sure of the brand will check when i get in but i think it is a cheap china filament..

I stumbled across a company local to me selling filament, so i asked some questions about them and they offed to send some samples belongs i posted the results to there website, they was so impressed with what i did, that they send me samples of all the new filament they get in....

  8. Wow cory3s, the wood stain looks awesome! How did you do it? Brand?

Imagine the artistic gifts one could print with this...

I just used off the shelf Ronseal wood stain and applied with a brush nothing more than that :-)

@Cor3ys: nice paintings on the woodfill. I guess this is still with colorfabb woodfill fine? Can you tell me if you enable retractions on your prints with this filament? And if you use different settings than the profile found on colorfabb's website?

Yes it is with the fine woodfill and i did not use colorfabb profile as i wanted a much smoother finish, so i used a layer of 0.2 temp 197 speed 50 and with retractions on, hope that helps. so far no clogs...

  9. Nice. Is it reversible? Or just one way?

Yes it is reversible when you bring it back indoors it changes back to original color..

    thanks for sharing!

and how much time to shift color?

As soon as the sun light hits, it takes a matter of seconds to turn and as soon as you bring it back indoors its a matter of seconds to change back...

Must admit the results are not as instant if it is not sunny but over cast it does take about 30 seconds to change and not as bright...

  10. Hi Skint

Yeh the grip was a lot thicker so was much more stable, I am only really testing the limits of the ninja flex to see whats possible and not...

If you drop me a PM with your address i will post you a sample to test when i get some time, sure Daniel wont mind belongs you post your results here.

I am currently testing some UV PLA on the printer as i type. i have a UK company sending me so many free samples of new types of martial i cant keep up LOL
