That on a restaurant it's a sign that they don't just put your meal on a microwave. Quality control, worldwide delivery.
Just wondering, did you try other european shops? I know that the distributor on Spain has 'in stock' on the web.
yep, i understand that, well, thats what they told me. btw im not in spain, so i need to buy it by a local Reseller...
-
I just Called the Reseller in Germany, asking for an Update. they said to me they,re still waiting for a delivery from the manufacturer (ultimaker) and we need to wait 2 weeks more (that will make a Grand total of 8 weeks) they told me that if in 2 weeks time nothing happens, then we have to call directly to Ultimaker in Holland, and ask them WHY is taking so Long to get our Upgrades.
-
Six Weeks and Still no Upgrade in sight...
-
I really think the UM could have made a bit fat warning about that ! So well, other than that, printings are now excellent, under-extrusion is gone !
Did you update the firmware?
Im still waiting for my upgrade, i have a question, im Using Simplify3d as slicer, what do i Need to Keep in mind when uprgrading?... i mean, in the last Version of simply3d the U2+ is not in the list of suported Printers.
to be preciseand clear: if i update the Firmware from CURA to u2+ and i still use in simplify3d U2(plain) configuration, everything will be working? or some imcompabilities will ocurr?

I took note of your questions and am currently waiting for a reply which hopefully contains some more information regarding your specific order. I did hear that this week we will ship out a new batch to our EU resellers so hopefully that includes your order.
Will get back with you once I have more information.
Again our apologies for the inconvenience.
the german reseller says they're waiting for a shipment, and the don't know when and how many kits they will be recieving, lead time now is 5 to 6 weeks... currently they don't have any, and theres no more information... is such a shame that as a costumer you don't have other options where to buy....
-
Hi,
can you give us an upate on the delivery times of the extrusion upgrade kit in Germany (and Europe)? I just talked to the (only) german reseller and they said they are expecting a delivery in mid April. They can't tell how many kits they will receive and when they are able to deliver "my" kit. I ordered immediately after receiving a newsletter saying that the kit is available (on March 9th). At that time their website stated: Delivery times 1-3 days(!). They immediately collected the money, but today (2 weeks later) they can't tell when they are able to deliver.
I didn't like to order the kit from iGo3d (Germany) anyway because of very bad experiences with them and I would like to cancel the order. But there are obviously no other ways to buy the kit. The ultimaker webshop is gone.
same Thing here, ordered the same day you did your order (march 9th) Money collected, but no kit in sight, nor even a glimpse of when the delivery can be done...

Hey @SandervG ferrite core for the motors!?? So all the long hours of chats about ferrite cores with @nicolinux didn't fall on deaf ears?...
Hey! is that Ferrite Core of an Special sort? my U2 came without that. Can i use a Standard one?
thanks

PROBLEM SOLVED! NO SQUEAKING SOUND ANYMORE!
-
Thanks for your answer didierklein: so you think that increasing the distance between the pulley and the steeper motor will solve this issue? what distance is recommendable?
Thanks.

Hello Forum:
Since a few weeks im having a strange sound in my machine (U2) the sounds comes from the Upper- left - back corner of the machine (if you're seeing it frontally) its like the short has a sort of friction with the pulley (red circles) the motor is all the way down, so the belt is really tight, but it somehow tends the lean to the right. The motor Pulley (not seen in the picture) is like 1mm or less away from the steeper motor... should i replace the short belt for a new one, or theres some other stuff i need to check before?
many thanks in advance.

Hello Forum! i just want to know if theres new nomenclature on the olson nozzles... i was taking a look at Ultimakers home page, and they shipping the news ultimaker with an olsson Block. and 4 nozzles, and the orifice diameter (with number) is engraved on one side of the nozzle. no more "dot" system?
Cheers. and happy new year for all
-
@esteban-pacheco Well it did improve thing greatly and adding a ferrite core is very easy and quick. It won't hurt so I'd say - try it.
does it make a difference?
what kind of ferrite core are you using? i mean, the DIAMETER (3.5 mm or 5.00mm)
cheers...

so,e one did managed to figure this issues out? is there a real solution? im tired of doing tests...
-
Well well, i told you those settings are working, but is wise to raise the material flow and the temperature to those levels?
-
well i was testing the new cura (15.06.03) if you use a 0.4 nozzle, and you turn up the top/bottom line width to 0.5, it gives good results, i think is a good option (you don't even need to set the flow rate to 110 %), but, cura has still some bugs... but that option is great...
-
I have the Olsson Block and the issue is still there. I've also changed the temperature sensor and fan shroud. The next thing would be to swap boards but my motivation is kinda low.
please make a cubus (50 mm x 50 mm x 5 mm - or something similar). i also have an Olson block, i also changed the temp sensor, i also changed the heater cartridge for an 35 W and use my Settings and tellme what happens...
-
well, theres must be a REAL solution for those that cannot return the printer and get a new one, right?
im using this settings for a 0.35 nozzle:
110% flow rate
mat temp: 222 C* (Blueish White ColorFabb)
solid infill speed at 20 to 25 mm/s
outline speed 40 mm/s
fan min speed 50 %
fan mix speed 60 %
this settings works almost all the time, but, this issue is so erratic that from time to time, even if im printing with using the above described settings the problem just appears... i've made many many tests, there. this issue is so frustrating...
(i've observed that the fan speed has smth to do, its like wen using 100 % fan, the thin cord coming out of the nozzle looses quickly its temperature and theres a consequent reduction of its diameter - but im just guessing)
-
im having the same problems in here, i just turn the material flow to 110%, i ve changed all in my printer (except the build plate, the frame, and the motors ), maybe is a design problem, i hope the ultimaker guys take notes and try to solve this...
-
If everything from the guide about this fails http://support.3dverkstan.se/article/23-a-visual-ultimaker-troubleshooting-guide
I would try 26% since the infill pattern changes from 25 to 26 on cura (at least on old versions).
The problem is that i get this effect on the bottom, solid layers as well. The printer doesn't even get to printing the infill and the surface looks just like this. I tried all the relevant things from the guide (checked the short belts, pushed the motors down, also one axle showed the "Protruding axes" effect a bit, so i fixed that, nothing helps)
I have exactly the same problem here with my U2... this issues are so erratic and random, sometimes happens, sometimes don't, so i think theres a solution that fits all. when i rise the flow rate to 110% it seems to get better, but that is also not a solution, i also have changed all you can change in the printer, (and by all i mean ALL belts, nozzle, temp sensor, heater cartridge, PTFE, Stainless Coupler, bowdentube, feeder) it is quite disappointing...
-
I had a similar problem on my UM2go but the side walls wernt touching also. They ended up requesting me to send the printer back and they will supply me with a new printer. UM will investigate what is wrong and report back.
I had tried heaps of different things but still stayed the same. and UM gave me ini files to print and I had the same issue.
so you mean we got an defect Batch of ultimakers? i have mine since july last year, i think is too late to send it back.... i#m having These Problems since the begining...
-
i think is a software problem... i get better results in top layers using the new cura (15.06.03), because you can specify the line width of the top and bottom layers..
BUT, i have noticed, theres a problem with combing, and that makes the external surfaces (shells) a little bit strange and crappy

Just a question:
Is the Olsson Block nozzles compatible with the E3DV6 Nozzles?
Indeed, Anders Olsson created the block for that exactly. You could even use Ultimaker Original nozzles.
COOL!
Upgrade your Ultimaker 2 with the Extrusion upgrade
in UltiMaker 3D printers

Got Mine Today! and already running, pretty easy to upgrade... now im testing to see whats the new behaviour, its really damn quiet, when i turned it on, i thought i forgot to connect smth, because the fan was really silent... the feeder also sounds really different than the older one, what (at least in my opinion) made me wonder is that ""racketing"" sound when loading and unloading material (is that normal?)
im happy the surgery ended well...
