  1. The Gcode is one file which you sort of tell the printer to print - it just changes the filament print rate and thats it, you just execute once and it writes the new parameter into the firmware of the UM2

    the two lines are below:-

    M92 E492.45

    M500

you can just copy them to a file and give it a GCODE file type - job done

sorry to say it but you found the week link in the machine, I would tighten the tension hold your breath till the new extruder arrives, you will be less frustrated in the end. It is an issue and it is well documented. I had my machine for 2 years and it was documented then. I hear the new feeder is much better, I found to help with this problem is to increase the heat carefully and slower your print.

sorry to be a bit gloomy but your problems is what I have had for months.

    Good Luck

I usually wait till the material is purged then I have a wire that I use to wrap said material and then pull it away..

have a look in the software forum under s3d I think my start up script is there if not I post it hear for you its not the best but it has served me well over the last 16 months.

can't agree with you more, I thought the same it is actually a benefit for the motor to skip instead of pushing material through, I hope that this can be overcome, or i have just swapped a pain in the Axxx for a more serious problem. Don't like the idea of thread Lock, also the 3dSolex Steel Coupler thread has a lot more slop than the original UM Version, if the Steel coupler is tighter in the thread this might also make a differenced. Was going to Ask 3dSolex if this was or is possible I might just have a bad one.

  6. Hi

yes I use S3D along with others I Like it, I would urge caution when using your new machine based on my experience which was very bad. On Delivery a wire was Jammed under the Micro switch causing the head to crash into plate. Make sure they are All Clear of Obstructions.

    Then Good to Go.
