Hallo, wenn ich eine STL-Datei lade, dann steht das zu druckende Objekt manchmal nicht korrekt. D.h. die falsche Fläche ist unten, oft liegt es um 90 Grad falsch. Habe es mit 'Rotate' probiert aber danach habe ich den Eindruck mein Objekt steht in der Luft? Gibt es da nicht eine einfachere Möglichkeit? Z.B. die Fläche anklicken die unten auf dem Druckbett sein soll? Dann würde das Objekt entsprechend gedreht und unten auf dem Druckbett einrasten. Das wäre eine Ein-Klick-Lösung. Im Moment muss man 'umständlich' schrittweise rotieren und den 'Zeiger' beobachten bis 90 Grad erreicht sind? Wie macht man es richtig? Danke!

Hi DonMilne, thanks for reply, yes it was standard PLA temperature. Beside of that wierd strings what can I do that the infill and perimeter melt better together? From my humble opinion it comes a littlebit too few filament out of the nozzle so the perimeter and infill do not properly glue together. Should I increase nozzle temperature or material flow to get better results? How so I increase temperature and material flow? Inside Cura or on the UM2 directly after inserting the SD card?

Dear all, I tried to make my 1st print with the UM2 but wonder what came out. I printed the voronoi heart that comes on the SD card (innoFil3D, white PLA), here is a photo: UM2 says 'Print finished', but as you can see the upper surface is wierd, lots of strings pointing upwards. Also a littlebit of underextrusion in the upper layers. If I take a closer look I can also see that the perimeter does not touch the infill and vice versa on many places. What happened here? Since I am brandnew to UM2 I don't know how to fix these problems and need your help. Thanks! PS: is it possible to attach images directly here in the forum? Hallo, ich habe seit gestern meinen Ultimaker 2 und habe dazu einige Fragen: 1. Ich möchte gerne eine zweite SD-Karte nutzen, habe da noch welche z.B. 500MB, 1GB, 2GB usw.. Muss man die für den UM2 formatieren? Wenn ja wie FAT16 / FAT32? 2. Kann man die SD-Karte aus dem UM2 raus und reintun auch wenn der UM2 eingeschaltet ist? 3. Wie kann ich prüfen, welche Firmware auf meinem UM2 läuft? 4. Wie finde ich heraus, welche Firmware für meine UM2 die aktuelle ist und wo kann ich die (evtl. neuere) downloaden? 5. Wie installiert man die Firmware auf dem UM2? Danke schonmal...

Dear all, finally I got my UM2 now and did my first run with it. Since I am brandnew to UM2 I currently don't know what is 'normal' and what is a problem because I have no experiences yet. The UM2 asked me to insert filemt into the extruder, this worked. Then I hit the wheel to confirm 'Ready' and the filament gets pulled through the bowden tube up to the nozzle. The display says 'Wait until material comes out of the nozzle'. But for some reason no material comes out of the nozzle. Instead I hear a noise like a fast tock, tock, tock, tock, tock. I found out that it comes from the extruder, further I can see that the knurled wheel which shoud transport the filament just move forward and the slips back again. This causes the tock, tock, tock noise. Unfortunately no material comes out the nozzle :sad:. Does the stepper motor get damaged by this behaviour / noise? How to get rid of that noise and get the filament transported properly? Thanks for any help!

Dear all, I am brandnew to the Ultimaker forum. I ordered the UM2 and I am waiting for the delivery now... So I have time to ask many questions ;-). I saw on the Cura dowload page (software.ultimaker.com) that there is a verison cura_15.01.exe But the official download link (https://ultimaker.com/en/products/software) still shows CURA-14.12.1 - Why? Is there any chagelog / changleog history available what changes / benefits the new versions have? Thanks for any help!

Hallo JohannesK91, danke für Deine ausführliche Antwort zu Combing und Retraction, aber sorry das mit dem Combing versteh ich immer noch nicht ganz. Was soll durch Combing verhindert werden? Wenn Löcher überfahren werden, dann wird doch kein Filament mehr nachgeführt somit kommt doch auch kein Material aus der Düse, was sich wo ablegen kann? Verstehe ich nicht...

Hallo, ich möcchte nicht unbedingt über USB drucken. Ich dachte eher an Dinge, die Obolski genannt hat. Es wäre super, wenn man über USB auf dem PC die Temperatur des Druckbettes, der Düsen, etc. sehen / einstellen könnte. Auch die Übertragung der Druckdatei zum UM2 wäre sinnvoll, da das lästige 'sichere Auswerfen' und das Einlegen in den UM2 eingespart werden könnte. Könnte mir das Ganze auch über WiFi vorstellen, aber da gibt es ja ohne Basteln auch nicht, obwohl es beim UM2 'WiFi ready' heißt - finde ich ja ziemlich dreist, wenn ihr mich fragt - wo ist denn da bitte etwas 'WiFi ready'?!?

Hi Nicolinux, danke für Deine Antwort. Wundert mich nur, dass es da von Ultimaker direkt noch nichts gibt. USB ist doch nichts neues und es gab doch für CURA und die Firmware des Ultimaker 2 schon etliche Updates - warum ist USB bis heute nicht offiziell unterstützt?
