Well, maybe is a 1.75 mm version of UM2-family... And becose of this we see a new feeder and new shroud. If it correct, i really want to see comparsion between old/new versions. Can be interesting.

Haven't watched the sources, but the fact is remarkable. It reminds me of the repetition of 1981. What do you think about the prospect?

Form have released the Form 2 SLA printer, so that could be a good option.
The price of the Form's printer and the consumables he has somewhere in the region of the stratosphere. Again, the printing with rubber is weak, in my understanding, combined with the casting. How to get rid of the inevitable carbon deposits when heated? It is also important the level of toxicity.

I still find it difficult to get 'good' jewelry prints from the Ultimaker. Small details are fragile and almost all prints need support.
For example: a ring prints best lying down, printing a continuos circle, but then you have one flat side. Printing it standing up is a pain because the printhead jumps from side to side.
It will take a lot of patience to get things right and keep your limitations in mind to avoid disappointment. (that is why I use it for prototypes..)
The best solution would be to use the print and hydrophobic PLA plastic (PWA?) at the same time. But you need to have the ability to print two nozzles. Thus it is available for owners of UMO and @ultiarjan
Update: maybe better is using Moldlay and PWA.

UltiGcode differs from the standard extended set of commands, and most likely, with that you are facing.
-
Perhaps the problem is that you use option machine_gcode_flavor with the value "default": "UltiGCode". Try changing it to "default": "RepRap" and try make overrides, as is done, for example, in the BQ witbox profile: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/blob/master/resources/machines/bq_witbox.json

Is it possible to put the slicing on pause during the rotation of the object along the axes, and run it, for example, after the user has released the mouse button? Now any rotation of the object, even while holding the button starts the re-slicing, and the impression that clearing the heap is not going on at the time repeated start slicing. How realistic is it to introduce a time delay after the changes? For example half a second.

The last build is stable on my PC.. The new option Enable Support Roof is very useful for my needs. Exporting the profiles doesn't work and two files are created, one empty xxx.curaprofile and a tmpxxx file.
I agree. Speed of slicing, subjectively, has increased two times. Lags while working significantly less. So far the only gripe is possible to consider the following: when you change the model in the layer view (I disabled support) slicing started, but processing layers not. Had to switch to solid and back, and after this, processing layers finally starts. .83 version gives hope that a worthy final release.<3

OK. Thanks both Ivan and Nallath.
I'm gonna give it another try following your instructions and will let you know here.
Благодаря н всичко хубаво Иван!

Download any profile from https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/tree/master/resources/machines.
Enter your current printer values to the appropriate fields in the profile. Don't forget to make a unique Id. Also you will need a 3D-model of buildplate in the stl format and pattern of the logo in png format. After preparing this files, put .json in a C:\Program Files (x86)\Cura's folder\resources\machines, a .stl into \resources\meshes and .png into \resouces\images. Start your Cura, and try to work with these profile.

Mainly for customers. Mostly small parts to a variety of techniques/devices that were damaged, and finding them on sale is not possible. Now prepare a small project with the local ethnographic Museum, a model of the military fortress of the 18th century on the site of which grew up the town where I live. Also, plans print models of local attractions (they then will paint with acrylics). For myself is basically a variety of things for the house like curtains or holders for tools.
-
Anar, because the printer you already have, try to create a profile template from github and test it out. I'm trying to do an implementation for Wanhao Replicator, standing in the town library.

After the comment about the limitations of multithreading in Python some time I googled this question and found here some interesting option: https://docs.python.org/2/library/multiprocessing.html
This method has its limitations in terms of platform dependence, but the execution speed is obviously higher than when using GIL. @nallath, you have not considered the possibility of changes in this way?

As the official new requirements for the correct functioning of the new version yet, is it possible to describe the configuration of the developers machines as a guide for the upgrade? ie configuration, which in the opinion (and real experience) of developers, the user is guaranteed not to have any significant delays in the work. If possible, without having to sell someone else's kidney
-
@KevinMakes Given the fact that on this machine do not play games (for these purposes, there is always PS), and it serves exclusively for the work at home, her power has always been enough. But apparently yes, looking at the lags in the process of working with the new Cura, there is a sensible grain of truth in the proposal to update the hardware, I agree.
Makes sense to ask @nallath to clarify how important the video card for the performance of the new version of Cura, or just the processor power and amount memory?

I don't have the issue with a 20 MB stl model. There I can simply ignore the slicing process and change the camera / settings whatever. This pc only has those shitty onboard intel graphic cards aswell, so thats not the issue either.
20 mb of data (a little over 1.3 million polygons!) doesn't have this effect, so i'm pretty sure its another issue. An issue that I want to fix, not hide behind a checkbox.
**edit** Even with 80 mb of data (so about 5 million polygons) I was still able to change settings without any issues. The view did start to slow down a bit, but this also happened when the slicing was disabled. I could not find a significant decrease in performance.
Supporting Arguement:
Machine Del xps
i7 4770
32 gb ram
2x TitanX
Generated a model with 5 million poly count
could change settings easily while adding models
On a machine with the following specifications: Intel G440 1.6 GHZ, 4 Gb Ram, 9600GT 1GB it turns into hell. At the same time, work with drawing with a volume of 60 MB in autocad 2016 still comfortable.
Update: its not about adding that "cursed" button, its about a much different system requirements between old and new Cura.

I've always wanted to print a realistic gun just because they look cool, but it seems to get mixed reactions. There seem to be none available for free download, i don't care even if it isn't airsoft. Ill do some hyper detailed guns next after my manga project and other million things i plan to print, lol!
If the model deserves it, and I have a free 10-15 dollars, why not buy?
-
Head turns the idea of creating a replica of this rifle for the airsoft.
-
The butt of the rifle looks great. Will there be photos of all of the other parts?
And yes, judging by the number of references to Star Wars, it is time to create a dedicated topic for the fans

I can't really see the problem, you just ignore the fact that the auto slicing is going on and go about your work of changing settings, adding things etc.. There is no need to wait for anything.
With high poly stuff the entire computer freezes while it is doing its computation, so you cannot simply carry on going about your business.... hence the EXTREME frustration, as there is also a massive delay so you think you've typed in a setting only to find you've pressed delete too many times and have to wait all over again to type in the value you initially wanted. If you dont do high poly stuff or really detailed models i guess you wont notice. But if you do then its torture, and having a tick box for autoslice would be a godsend.
Here it is difficult to disagree. On a computer with 4 gigabytes of memory a high-poly model can be calculated up to an hour (the maximum that I had). Perhaps the problem here is that, judging by the perfomance log, the program uses only CPU resources, and does not employ the power, which can provide video card (as, for example, makes a family of autodesk products).

Given the fact that the staff is not particularly large, the amount of work and difficulties of translating the old functionality to the new engine and the fact that getting/remembering programming skills takes considerable time, it is strange to expect from the new version, at least, stability. If I understood correctly, that is exactly what has been made "open beta" - in order to help developers to find the maximum number (sic!) critical errors. minor bugs and new features can be safely implemented in later releases. What the developers not did, and why half of the comments to the post looks a bit (IMHO) of the indictment - they not published a plan of active tasks on the sprint to 15.10. If people could see the priorities now facing developers (github functionality inexperienced person may appear extremely uninformative), the six-page discussion of entering into the assembly of a (OMG!) single button could not be.

When did the rafts "improve"....about what version?
Ivan, I have that same TIE fighter model but haven't printed it yet. How did it look when done?
I dunno. It was a while ago (3+ months)
If I remember correctly, in the Stacker3d group on Facebook was a post with a photo of the finished fighter.

I agree that the seal thickness .04/.02/.01 in most cases redundant and unnecessary. IMHO, there are only two reason for its use: print a small (really small) parts with complex surface texture and something for themselves, if printer is free from external orders. And if you have a mood to do this, if course
