  1. If its just the first layer it could be that the hot-end is too close to the heated bed. try re-leveling your print bed.
  2. Im not touching any of the wires... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3uIyxq7gEg Im still not exactly sure what the problem is. I shoved the silver wire(temp sensor wires) into the nozzle and it somewhat fixes it for like 1 print.
  3. I'm currently having exactly the same problem. Any resolution to this? edit didnt see the 2nd page. (new forum layout xD)
  4. im using all stock. Im wiggling the sensor connection on the nozzle and nothing(edit: nothing meaning nominal). the temperature readings are fine. edit: watch video bellow the temp fluctuates like crazy (im not touching anything.)
  5. I opened it up and checked the connections. After checking the connections i was able to get 1 small 30 min print, but when i tried to print again, i got the same error. in advanced settings I seem to be getting correct readings and am able to heat up the nozzle just fine. The error occurs 1-2 min into the print.
  6. I already contacted support@ultimaker.com This happened randomly. My ultimaker2 is relatively new. I only used half a spool of material. I tried a factory reset with no luck. Please help! Thank you.
  7. The speed isnt the problem im having. its that the infill is under extruding for whatever reason
  8. Im not using the quick print profiles.
  9. Everything else but the infill is fine. To me it seems like there isnt enough material coming out for the infill. printing at 210 C
  10. UPDATE none the less. I purchased my UM2 on March 27, 2015 and im over joyed this printer exceeded my expectations! Costed me a flat rate of $2499 at http://www.dynamism.com/%20(United%20States) (United States)
  11. looks like acetone can do some serious damage to PLA
  12. Thank you so much for your guide. Arnoldas linked me your post (The Marvin on the left is the better print using kvones' settings) Here is my hub (5 stars thanks to you ) https://www.3dhubs.com/los-angeles/hubs/craftee
  13. UPDATE I was able to get a really nice print using these settings Layer Height: 0.1mm Shell Thickness: 0.4mm Retraction: enabled Bottom/Top Thickness: 0.6mm Fill: 0% Print Speed: 20mm/s Temp: 210C Bed Temp: 70C Filament Dia: 2.85 Flow: 100% No Support https://www.3dhubs.com/talk/thread/my-first-marvin
  14. Yes my fans are at 100%. I tried printing slower at 25mm/s still no luck. Interesting point. So it does look like the speeds for infill and shell differs. i guess thats why the infill has extrusion problems while the shell looks fine. should i worry about top/bottom speed? also, if these settings are not 50mm/s, then what exactly is printing at 50mm/s?
  15. printing at default 210 c (i was using 230 c and i got problems. and 210 i see incomplete extrusion in the infill structure and curling edges.) 0.1mm 50mm/s
  16. I've been having trouble printing Marvin perfectly. Here are the specific areas of trouble Also when printing the bottom hemisphere the PLA starts to peel up.(Cooling problem?) Any ideas?
  17. Thanks! i was surprised at how the first print turned out
  18. AHHH im so excited!!! Here is my first print!!! side note: everything went awesomely, but the SD card did not come with the robot stl file (no biggie). Only defect in the ultimaker2 that i found was the selection wheel. (there is something stuck inside that is causing it to scratch the wheel) edit: after a bit of use the wheel works smoothly now
  19. looks interesting. ill definitely try it out
