  1. Oh i must have saved it on Gyroid, i was trying a few different settings. Try it on normal, tell me if this is what you see:
  2. I've been seeing this for a few versions now; regardless of the model I'm printing. it starts to compute these really odd layers and won't just print a tower straight up w/out shifting or changing the tower shape on a few layers. Because it's causing bridging its causing stringing and other issues w/my PVA support. Thoughts? Thank you! S3 and is cura v 5.6..
  3. @CarloK Correct, it's either it wasn't doing it before 7 and a little bit into 7.. and by that I really just noticed it this weekend. So, wondering if all the printing finally wore the fan to a point where it is less tolerant. That is, its now broken in so that little bit of voltage can move the fan ever so slightly, the magnets pull it back.. repeat this over and over at 60hz and you get the buzzing. The bushings "new" out of the box may prevent this oscillation; but after hours of printing it reaches a point where the issue surfaces. W/that said, I only got my S3 2-3 months ago, i'll get you total print time if you'd like.
  4. @CarloK Many thanks for looking into it. Yes i would have opened up a support ticket if you didn't pick up the thread. Much appreciated that you started it on our behalf. I need to open another one, my Z axis started making an odd noise when getting ready to print. If it helps, I don't recall having the fan/sound issue prior to v7. Thank you!
  5. Got the same issue here. If you blow on the fan to make it spin you can hear the sound change. Any word on a firmware fix?
  6. I found a work around today that works well, instead of confirming on the control panel when the material flows (confirming causes the retract), instead select "cancel". This just stops the forward movement of the filament and doesn't cause a retract. I then wait for the majority of the material to flow out, when its greatly reduced or stopped, I resume the print. Worked great today, see below:
  7. I second this motion. These bugs are driving me crazy! so what happens on Jul 1? New firmware?!
  8. Bug: If you pause a print and change the filament, after the filament starts to come out you verify it w/the control panel, and then it retracts again. So when you unpause your print it will print about 1-2 layers with nothing coming out (depending on the size of your print of course). Feature Request: The pause menu needs the move material option added so that you can queue up the filament to resume the print. Thanks! -t
  9. Ditto that, i've got 15.02.1 and the abort retract drives me crazy. Its not only there, but if you pause a print and change the filament, after the filament starts to come out you verify it w/the control panel, and then it retracts again. So when you unpause your print it will print about 1-2 layers with nothing coming out (depending on the size of your print of course). The pause menu needs the move material option added.
