  1. Github Issue #3451

    https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/3451

    Application Version
    Cura 3.2.1

    Platform
    Win 10 Pro, 64 bit

    Display Driver
    NVIDIA GeForce 840M

    Printer
    Custom printer

    Steps to Reproduce
Select a dual extrusion printer and generate the gcode.

    Actual Results
After the last extrusion toolpath of one extruder, the extruder will stop on top of the 3D print, waiting for the other extruder to reach the Initial Printing temperature, this could be a 5 seconds wait, and will make a little hole on the print.

    Expected results
Move the extruder to a secure place, away from the print.
If a Prime Tower is selected the waiting position could be inside the tower. For a Ooze Shield the position could be xx cm from outside of the shield.

Now I can manually import the old profiles, but there is another strange issue with the profiles. The 3.1beta is not automatically importing the profiles from 3.0.4, but is showing the settings of one of them (TPU200 (24Nov)). And when I manually imported a profile to 3.1beta - that already exists on 3.0.4, the Cura renumber the profile indicating that already exists in 3.1beta, but as we can see in the image is not showing on the Profile list.

  3. Usually when profiles don't show up, Cura thinks they are not compatible with the current selected printer. We will have a look at the log files tomorrow.

It's strange because I installed the 3.0.4, configured the same exact custom printer as in the 3.1.0 beta, and did not have any problem importing the old profile, as you can see in the image below.

  4. Hi,

I finnaly did a clean install, and now 3.1 beta is working.

But there's another issue, I cannot import old profiles, genereted in 3.0.4.

Is strange because Cura confirmed that the profile was successfully imported, and then nothing appears on the profile list.

As you can see in the image bellow I tryed three times to import the same profile.

I already deleted the 'beethefirst_beetf_0.6_tpu.inst.cfg' file and I still having crashes in the new 3.1 beta (and I don't have the Cura 2.7).

I also delete the cfg file has @draysin suggested but I can only work with the new custom printers atributed on 3.1 beta. If I try to choose an old custom printers a crash will occour, as you can see in the image bellow.

  6. Hi @ghostkeeper,

The issue with the "Retract at Layer Change" that is happeing in the same x y position where the outter perimeter will start (that contribute for the loose of the pressure in the extruder) was not solved, only the "Rectract Before Outer Wall" was corrected.

As you can see in the image, after the last extrusion (and here is where the retraction must occour) there's a long travel move, then a retraction happens, goes to new layer and prime, all this on the exact same place.
