  1. I hadn't updated the firmware in my UO+ for a very long time and thought it might work better with the current version of Cura if I did. Well I guessed wrong. After the update which I just did I get nothing on the display and OctoPrint seems to connect but can't control anything. Like I said it's been many moons since I did a firmware update. I think I had to use a custom install because at the time Ultimaker had not released a version that supported the heated bed. Yes It's been that long. The printer is bone stock but has worked very well all this time. Please help! Thanks.
  2. Great work. I'm currently building a Voron 2.4 300 but I want to keep my Ultimaker Original+ for backup and right now it's bone stock. It still works better than many of the newer printers I've looked at. I'd like to ask a few questions. Is there a write up on how to do the direct drive conversion and can you use the stock motors? What E3D V6 upgrade did you use, I'm a bit confused I've found so many on Thingiverse. Where you able to use the stock heater and temp probe? As I'll be running Kilpper on my new machine I'd like to upgrade the UO+ so it will also run Kilpper. Will I need any more drivers (motors, heated bed, fans, etc.) than the UO+ came with? I'm also moving to 1.75mm filament so I don't have to stock two different sizes.
  3. I know this is old news but I could really use some help with my old Ultimaker 1+. I don't use the printer very often but it's a very important tool I my home shop. Unfortunately the SD card reader has never worked. This morning I formatted a 2GB SD card FAT32 and saved the file from Cura 2.7. When I put the card in the printer it shows Card inserted but when I press the button I shows No SD Card. It was out of warranty by the time it was put together so my only option is USB. I've used it with great success for some time but right now there are problems I don't seem to be able to resolve. First question is what was the last version of Cura that supported USB? On my new PC I'm running version 2.7 and I can run the bed leaving but when I press the Print button nothing happens. I've never run this version before, is there something I'm missing?
