Ulticontroller Not Working

My Ulticontroller is not working.

I followed the troubleshooting steps in the Wiki but no positive results.

The screen does not light up, adjusting the pot doesn't work, switching the cables didn't work

and a double push of the button doesn't make any noise.

Does the backlight of the LCD lit up or does it stay dark?

Daid, It doesn't light up and there are no other signs of life.

check if the 2 ribbon cables are working. I had one cable where one pin wasn't properly crimped, and had no contact (multimeter in continuity test mode). if the cables are OK, see if you see any dry/loose solder joints on the ulticontroller, and give them a little dap with a hot iron. there has been reports of manufacturing problems with the boards. if it's still dead, please, by all means, contact UM support, and ask for a free replacement ulticontroller.

also, does the LCD work if you plug in the USB, and not work without USB? if yes, check if you have routed the 12V from the fan power supply to the Vin of the arduino.
