New Ultimaker - maintenance problems

Hello good people,

Yesterday I received my Ultimaker 2+ and instantly started printing some models, they turned out pretty good, some minor faults, but easy to fix with some setting changes. I first placed it next to my laptop on my desk, but because of the hard noizes and vibrations I decided to make a table outside of my office. Today, I placed the UM2+ on the new table, took out the glassplate and cleaned off all glue residue under the sink, dried it really well and placed it back. Ofcourse I recalibrated the buildplate and started the first print of the day.

Imediately I noticed that the first layer wouldn't stick that well, even with same settings, and same models as I used yesterday, it also moved the nozzle through already placed layers, so it would mess everything up. At last I noticed the filament coming out wrong, it wouldn't fill the layers completely and the layers didn't stack up nicely.

My conclusion: a blocked nozzle. So I am right now trying the atomic method. Isn't going the way it should, because when I rip out the 20cm of straightened filament at 90 degrees it will stretch, I guess I'll have to pull harder to get the cone shape. But that's not why I made this topic!

Halfway in the atomic methode I tried to remove the bowden tube. But first I had to get rid of the blue clamp... Easy job to do, right? Wrong. I'm a moron, and accidentally dropped it in the hole on top of the print head. I tried getting it out with tweezers, but I just pushed it further untill I was unable to see it... How bad is this?

Also another question: would it be possible that my problems are just caused because the table is slightly less stable than my desk yesterday?

Thank you!

Instead of using google images it's better if you download the image to your computer and then use the right most icon above editing your post to go to "image gallery" and then upload the image there.

Anyway the image is a bit blurry - usually looking at an image I can see instantly what the problem is - but not for your case.

If when you do the atomic pull the filament comes out but the tip has a long windy/stretched appearance then you just need to do the pull at a slightly cooler temperature. Try 85C next time.

Changing the location has nothing to do with this problem but reveling might. I recommend avoiding the leveling procedure. I have hit my bed very hard and it rarely affects the leveling position. When you leveled the second time maybe the bed was too far or too close - you want the initial lines coming out to be squished a bit like a pancake. But not so much you can see right through it. Just turn the 3 knobs WHILE IT IS PRINTING the bottom layer. Don't panic - think it through: "too squished - need to move bed down - so need to tighten screws, so clockwise from below". The first few times it takes a minute to figure out which way to turn, but soon you become expert. Turn all 3 screws the same amount - start with half turn at a time.

If the bed is too far from the nozzle the filament doesn't stick well and you get globs here and there. If the first layer is fine but you have problems on the second layer it's probably unrelated to leveling as leveling only affects the bottom layer.

To get the horseshoe out - just unscrew the 4 thumb screws completely so the bottom kind of drops off and shake things around until missing part falls out. Maybe poke a bit with something long and skinny.

I think the photo is just unfocused in combination with gluestick on the glass, making the surroundings seem blurry. Anyways, I adjusted the bed and now it's printing fine again, thank you!

Haven't yet searched the clamp, but I will do soon. Thanks again!
