Adding the Ability to Control a Rostock Max V2 to Cura

I'm definitely in the consumer area of things, not super-techie...I purchased a Lulzbot Mini, and came to know and love Cura software.

I now added a Rostock Max V2, and I am just not a fan of Matter Control at all.

Is there a way to install the capability to control the Rostock in Cura, without having to go through too many hoops?

Thanks,

JT

    Hi,

    welcome to the forum.

You can add a new machine in Cura (the Rostock Max) and switch between the two when you slice objects.

In Cura select "Add new machine" from the "Machine" menu. Then follow the wizard to add the Rostock Max.

Thanks - - - I may have to grab a newer version of Cura (?) as I didn't see my model listed.

+1 to this question: I didn't see any Rostock models in the preset lists of printers, and the "Add new printer wizard" suggestion maybe was for an older cura version? I'm happy to import a config file of Rostock Max v2 settings if that is possible, and if someone has one.

The Rostock Max v2 is not in Cura 2.1.2. If anyone made a file, they should make a pull request so it can be in the next releases.
