Prints negative of drawing

Hello,

My printer prints the oppossite of the drawing I make.

If I make a square with a border and a cross in it (that is also some kind of border) it prints just the areas that shouldn't be filled, but it doesn't print the borders or the cross.

I hope the explanation is a little bit clear, I don't know how I can attach a picture to this question to make it more clear.

Thanks in advance.

Your model is probably not water tight.

Please look at the x-ray view.

If you are modeling with Sketchup, switch to a different program.

If you are modeling with Blender, check out Mesh Analysis (a 3D printing tool).
