Posted · Ultimaker 2 power cut out when changing filament?

Hi Guys,

One of my machines cuts out when I use the dial to go to Change filament. As soon as i click it it cuts out.

Any ideas? Its not a lose connection at the brick end or in the wires from the back.

Any ideas and thanks in advance!

    Hi Everyone,

    I have managed to pin it down to the Hot head heater. If i go to heat that up it cuts out.

    I checked the circuit board and it looks like the heater had come out of its green circuit holder. I have put it back in the correct hole but it seems to still be doing the same issue.

    Could it be the heater has fried?

        Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
