How to adjust UM3 Camera Angle/Focus

We just got our 2 UM3 Extendeds in last Friday, and one of the first things I noticed was that the camera angle and focus is a bit off. I've skimmed through the manuals and some of the forum posts. Has anyone figured out how to adjust this? The camera's on the UM3's are great and It'd be really nice to get the full use out of them. I've taken 3 photos, one of the focus roughly where the printer would be printing, one where the focus really is, and one of the printer while printing. Anything anyone has to help would be greatly appreciated.

While I don't have an answer for you, I would reach out to fbrc8 in the US. They offer support for the UM3 and are very quick to reply. There is also a facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/Ultimaker3 where Erin from fbrc8 is quick to help out as well.

I had a look at mine, the lens is of the screw on type, so I assume if it's not screwed in enough or too much it will be out of focus. I can't adjust mine, so it may have a bit of glue in it, not sure but I don't want to put much force on it...

I'm sure fbrc8 will help, if they send you a new unit it's super easy to replace, just a few screws and one connector. You may want to check if you can adjust yours....

skrotzkn, go ahead and try the adjustment if you feel comfortable doing so. Otherwise, it's a pretty quick and easy process to replace camera, and it can arranged if you email our team at Support@fbrc8.com.
