Posted · No power after new build

Hello everyone. I've recently built my first Ultimaker. After the build I try to power it up and the power supply will short out. I checked for shorts and could not find anything.

I then removed all of the connections except for the cooling fan for the electronics and tried again. The power supply still shorts out. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this may be happening?

Thanks!

How do you know the power is shorted? What was the clue? Did you measure the current?

It's likely you have a bad board :( but maybe you have a bad power brick?

The only reason I can tell that it shorts out is that the power light on the power brick goes off when I turn the unit on. I measured and after the unit is turned on I get no power coming from the brick.

Contact Ultimaker support (by email or phone) it's quite possible your electronics board was damaged during transport. They can set you up for a replacement.
