EMV Issue with neon lamps

Maybe this could help some Ultimaker Users

I use my Ultimaker in my hobby room which is lighted with neon lamps. Often I got Layer shifts just after I've checked on the ongoing print for its progress.

After some testing it's prooved, that switching the neon lights my cause layer shifts in the print. I discused that matter with the electo engineers in my department and they told me that the starters of neon lights may cause some severe EMV impacts on electronics.

Since then I only use battery lights to check on the active prints. No layer shifts any more.

Hope this is helpful for other users

Michael
