MPSM PEI Sheet upgrade

Hey! So I bought a monoprice select mini and bought a PEI sheet for it but am having a problem with the printer automatically trying to set the base z value to the default baseplate height, which is now too low. Thanks! I'm using Cura 15.04.6 (It's what came with the printer, should prob upgrade)

I don't understand your problem. What does the printer automatically do and fails? Or how does it exhibit? Does the nozzle hit the build plate when homing?
