Cura printing status doesn't reflect heating stages

When printing directing from Cura (Monitor mode), the current status displayed in the bottom right corner shows "Printing...0%" for several minutes as the build plate and extruder are brought up to the target temperatures for printing (see attached screenshot).  It would be nice if it displayed "Heating build plate...", then "Heating extruder", then "Printing..." when printing actually begins.

Sometimes, the status shows "Printing...1%" when heating up the build plate well before printing begins, which seems like a bug.

The progress is mostly based on the number of gcode lines sent to the printer. While heating up, no new gcode is sent to the printer untill the printer says it is ready performing the heatup command.
