Kernel update and recovery

Hi,

I tried to change the linux kernel in order to enable some feature for experimentation purposes. I ended up with a bricked machine (kernel panic and just a U-Boot shell working). is it possible to recover the machine to a working state? Also, what is the procedure to change the kernel?

As for changing the kernel, I'd suggest getting familiar with https://github.com/Ultimaker/um-kernel and https://github.com/Ultimaker/um-u-boot
