Material will not dispense from nozzle

When printing I noticed that the extruder one was not printing the material, I tried to calibrate the print head to make sure that it wasnt just that specfic print job. I also tried to change the material but the material would not reverse from the nozzle for me to change it. I have a Ultimaker 3, can anyone help?

can i still clean the print nozzle even when the material is still in the tube?

Yes sure, just open the feeder at the back a bit in order to retract the material by hand far enough so it does not stick out of the bowden tube.

You may have to pull the bowden tube off the clogged extruder at the printhead to get a good pull if @Nicolinux's suggestion does not work from the feeder end.

 

Heat the print cores using the set temp controls on the printer first to soften the plastic.
