Open/View upf flies

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm a new user of US5 and I've just realized that there is a new format (*.UPF). The problem I have is that Cura cannot open those files, but it can generate one. So, could anyone tell how I can open those files? I know that I can visualize them on the US5 screen, but, you know, it is no the best option.

Thanls in advance.

David

That's the best way to do it under most operating systems.

The UFP package is (in it's current implementation) a wrapper for a .gcode file and a preview image. In the future, we might put more payloads in there.

    • "Back To The Future" using Generative Design & Investment Casting
Designing for light-weight parts is becoming more important, and I’m a firm believer in the need to produce lighter weight, less over-engineered parts for the future. This is for sustainability reasons because we need to be using less raw materials and, in things like transportation, it impacts the energy usage of the product during it’s service life.
