Ultimaker with LabView

Does anyone know how to use LabView to control an Ultimaker? Is that possible?

What is that you want to do and why use labview for it?

I am going to be swapping out the extruder for an air pump and the hot end for a nozzle so that I can use it extrude ink but I want to be able to control the motors in the ultimaker and the air pump through one program and since LabView can generally be used to communicate between instruments I was thinking that would be my best bet.

I guess so, but I don't have any experience with labview, so I can't help you there.

It's certainly possible to write some VI's for controlling an Ultimaker. For an UM2+ you will have to control the USB connection (make sure Cura does not run as it grabs the connection). For an UM3 or a S5, have a look at the API docs which you find under http://yourprinterip/docs/api.
