configure USB printing on Anet A8 using Cura 4.2.1 in ArchLinux

Posted · configure USB printing on Anet A8 using Cura 4.2.1 in ArchLinux

been using cura on both my Cocoon ModelMaker and Anet 3d printers using microSD cards written on Win7. decided to try on ArchLinux using a direct USB connection but can't find the settings for USB

this USB device appears when I plug the A8 in.

Bus 001 Device 013: ID 1a86:7523 QinHeng Electronics HL-340 USB-Serial adapter
 

please help
