Ultimaker 2 User Manual

Hi guys,

I've ordered an UM2 and would like to start learning about it to be able to make the most of it as soon as it arrives so I was looking for the user manual. So far I haven't found it! Could someone make it available for download?

Start with Cura:

http://software.ultimaker.com/

Download something you would want to print from thingiverse.com or youmagine.com or design your own thing with CAD. Then open it in cura.

Look at every setting in cura and hover over it to get a deeper understanding.

Look at your model in XRAY view. Anything in red is an illegal CAD design (internal walls) unless you want an internal cavity.

Look at the overhang mode. Then look at slice mode and look at what it actually will be printing - you can often see issues here also.

I find it really strange that the UM2-manual is not publicly available. Why????

Don't know but I'm going to guess that since they only shipped the first one ever 3 days ago they just haven't gotten around to putting it up online.

It's not put online yet, but most likely it will be. (It was a bit of a stress job to get it finished, reviewed, and printed before shipping the first printers)

The manual contains all details from unpacking your printer, to setting it up, to installing the software and doing your first print. Cura is only a part of that (an important part, but only a part)
