design of component shrinks in size while opening it in CURA

Posted · design of component shrinks in size while opening it in CURA

I designed a component in a software, and exported it in a appropriate extension used by CURA. when i opened this file in cura, the size of component was really tiny, it looks like it automatically scaled it to smaller size. In the attached picture the green component is really bigger in design but it shrinks here in the CURA. can somebody point me out, what could be going wrong here?

Thank you!!

Siddharth

This can happen if you designed it in inches and not mm.

Can you check that?

There is also a plugin for Cura (check the Marketplace) called Barbarian Units, which should convert to metric, but I never tried it.

Our efforts consist of 2 layers. First; connect medical institutions and hospitals to (local) 3D Printing hubs to help them print parts of which a 3D model already exists. And second, contribute to design the necessary part and then have it printed via a (local) 3D printing hub.
