S5 makes "crunch" noise as E2 nozzle is moved

Every time the right (E2) nozzle is lifted or lowered, the mechanism makes what i can best describe as a "crunch" noise. It sounds like plastic parts rubbing, squeaking, or even grinding. That said, I can't find anything in the manual about having to lubricate these parts. I've had the printer only a few months, and I don't remember this sound happening in the early days. Any ideas?

When its lifted and lowered i started to get the same sound after a number of months so i rubbed some the grease into the lifting mechanism and flicked it up and down a few times by hand and rerun the calibration and the sound went away.

Fantastic -- that solved it! I (almost) feel stupid for having to ask. Thanks for the tip!

I had to ask when it happened to me, too. 🙂
