Material Station Extruding / Prime Material

Hello,

 

using the UM Material Station, the unit loads and extrudes / primes the material, on each print job and unload the material after that. Can this anyhow been set that the material stays loaded unless a different material / filament is been selected for the next print ?

Hi Galaxy,

 

At the moment I do not believe they have this function. The machine unloads for flexibility next time and the priming is to make sure the extruder can grab on when loading and unloading.

I suspect that one gotcha is that the printer *may* be powered off between prints. It pretty much forgets everything when that happens. As a result "keep it loaded" would have to be the default / only option. I'd be fine with that. Put another way, let it operate the same way as the S5 all by it's self operates .....
