non uniform scale in Cura is problematic

Non uniform scale in Cura is problematic the second time you try to change a scale number.

It's been for as long as I've been using Cura, which is several versions. Is this supposed to be a feature instead? I don't get it.

I would like a reply to that as well, have been trying to undertsand how all that works in cura. A feature bug does not help us ?🤔

It seems to stem from how Cura only transforms along the world axes, which does not work well with things that have been rotated. This becomes especially problematic when trying to adjust a support blocker after rotating the parent object. The handles may no longer correspond to the axis being scaled, and often a skew will be introduced.

 

Is there no option to have the scale/rotation handles orient themselves relative to an object's rotation? If not, is this feature planned at all?

 

I'm new to 3d printing and Cura is the first slicer I've tried using. I've made several successful prints, but this rotation/scale issue is causing mounting frustration

I would love to see this addressed it would be a handy feature for modifying part slightly to fit together

I was having truble with resizing and rotation. I scaled down to 98% the rotated flat and some parts of print are still printing 100% causing the printer to crash into part and shutdown.  The only way I found after leveling and adjusting the z stop checking belts was to file/sand the high spot while printing or pausing print. Any pointers on how to fix. It was an onshape stl import to cura 4.8
