Need help to Remove Custom Material Profiles created with filament type "PLA+"

In my ignorance/innocence, I typed "PLA+" as the filament type, when uing Duplicate to create four custom material profiles.

Now, those profiles do appear in the Manage Materials window, but if I select one, Cura identifies it as "Not Supported", turns the "Prepare" view's Material field orange and defaults the Print Profile selection to "Not Supported".  This also hides all of my custom print profiles from that printer profile pull-down select widget.

When I try to Remove those PLA+ material profiles in the Manage Materials window, the Remove button is greyed-out.

Is there a manual edit I can make to a Local or Roaming data file, or will you need to modify the software to resolve this?

PS: If indeed Cura does care what Filament Type is entered, it would be nice if Cura gave a pull down list instead of a blank field for this entry...

You cannot remove the material if it is currently active in any of the printers you have added to Cura. So make sure you have activated a different material. You also cannot edit or remove materials that are in readonly parts of your OS, such as the Program Files. There is a "materials" folder in the Configuration folder that is more appropriate for custom materials. See help -> Show configuration folder.
