retraction after inserting material on feeder 2 (UM3)

Hi!

I have an issue with the retraction of the feeder #2 of my um3, when I insert material, different things happens:

Firstly, after selecting the material and inserting it into the feeder, I press the button to move faster the filament till the noozle, the thing is that it stops earlier and the last part (around 5 cm before reaching the extruder) has to be filled in slow motion.

When the filament starts to flow trhough the noozle, it seems like its thinner (comparing to the feeder #1) and after some time it stops by itself and retracts the filament a lot.

This does not happen with the feeder #1

Any idea how to solve it? btw, both extruder are 0.4 AA and the material is PLA

Thanks!

    Hi

Do you wait when you put the filament into the feeder until the filament appears in the Bowden tube until you press the button to move it faster? If you press the button too early the filament will only be transported a few cm before the head and then switches to slowly extrude. It is not a problem if it happens, you can just wait or you can pull on the feeder lever and push the filament manually a little bit.

When the extruded filament is thinner than usual it is a sign that the printcore is not clean and needs some hot/cold pulls.
