Posted · Cura crashing in second display

So I had my Cura working on my second display for a long time. Recently I had to do a clean windows install on my PC and used the appdata roaming files to save my settings. It worked well, my settings are there but I can no longer use Cura on my second display without it crashing.

It started off as a complete white screen bug that I fixed by disconnecting the second monitor and unchecking "restore window position on start". I can now place Cura on the second display, load the model, modify the settings and even slice but as soon as I right click on the model, the software crashes.

It works perfectly fine on the first display.

Any idea how to fix these crashes without losing all my settings?

We really need a one file export for all our settings.

It sounds like your clean install uses a different GPU driver that somehow interferes with the GUI framework that Cura uses.

I fail to see how that would help you.

Instead of a single file, you have to backup a single folder.

If you want a single file, you can Save a project and load that back into Cura after you have reset it. That restores the entire state of your Cura settings.
