Strange strings whilst printing

Posted · Strange strings whilst printing

We have an UM 2 at my workplace, which we try to use maximally and optimally.

After an update of Cura and the replacing of our PLA filament, something new occured; the nozzle started a lot of stringing in open areas of a print.

I tried a lot of Cura settings, but I couldn't resolve this issue... We also have an Ender 3 and with that 3D-printer I can change retraction settings in Cura (which normally solves the problem for the E3). I've tried that for the UM2, but to no avail, as it didn't seem to change the stringing for the better (might've gotten worse, but not by much).

Anyone knows how to solve this?

I also added the .stl file, if someone would like to give it a whirl. (The object is a distance measuring unit for our Laser engraving machine)
