Ultimaker Cura Rotate button is grey

Hi - I have a Creality Enter 3, and V2.  I use a Mac for Cura.

All of my buttons on the left for rotate, etc are grey.

I need to use the rotate button.

I went into marketplace and it shows I have a rotate tool.

Need to know how to get those tools to work.

The tool buttons are only enabled when you have a model selected. Click on a model, then press the rotate etc buttons.

Thank you!   My model isn't laying flat when I tell it to, but hopefully I'll figure it out.
