Hello All,

I've been using 3.6.0 forever and I'm attempting to export all my profiles to 4.8.0. (3.6.0 started being weird..  saying Configuration is corrupt with the profile for fdmextruder #2 and I don't know how to fix it so I'm moving to a newer version) However, 4.8.0 keeps giving me error messages and cannot import the old profiles. It says the one of the quality modes  is incompatible with current active machine definition- Creality Base (I use a Cr10).

Sorry if this is a repost, this is my first time posting on the forum, I don't often come here!

Thanks so much to anyone who can help!

Patricia

Yes it's because the Quality type  Fast or Draft doesn't exist anymore in the newest versions of the Creality printer definition  ( You can say thank you to the guy who have updated these profiles in Cura 4.2 f....g Creawsomemode )

So now your old profile are not reconized anymore. And due to the management system of the parameter in cura if you don't have this initial quality configuration you cannot use anymore these profiles.

Solution N°1 : Add the quality missing definitions files in the Cura definitions for the creality printer. But A) you need to have certain nowledge and B)  this operation must be done for every new release of Cura

Solution N°2 : try to list the configuration present in this profile and  restart from the standard profile.

I had a feeling it wasn't going to be compatible... sucks and cause I have many different profiles I use. Well anyways, thanks for the help!
