Help Ultimaker S5 - Short Belt not moving

I had and issue with the printer and now the short belt for the x axis is not moving.

 

I tried tightening it as instucted by Ultimaker by it will still now move.

 

Please help!

Hi,

if the short belt is not moving, it may have two possible causes:

1. the stepper motor is not working (defective motor or defective cable/plug)
2. if the stepper motor works: the pulley on the motor shaft is lose (retighten the pulley)

If the belt is moving, but doesn't operate the print head: check the pulleys on the upper axles for slip and retighten the set screws if needed, possibly print head alignment is required.
