Remove (or avoid printing) top layer

Hi everyone

I have a question about the top layer of some of my designs.

My prints are 80mm high with a layer height of 0,1mm.

Layer 79 shows a clean print (image 1)

When I check layer 80 my extruder goes over some extra spots (mostly curves) which makes the print messy. (image 2)

My first though was to go in the .gcode, and remove layer 80, but there is no layer 80.

I also tried using the pause option in Cura, but then my print stops for 5-10 seconds and then automatically resumes.

Most of the time I'm not there (on in time) to select stop print.

Is there a setting I can check or change in Cura to avoid this last layer?

I tried this with multiple drawings. My nozzle is a 0.2, and the offsets I tried are 0.20,  0.21, 0.22, and 0.23. All with the same results.

I added a .gcode if anyone needs this.

I'm using different Ender printers (3V2, and 5 Pro) all with a 0.2 nozzle. Printing in PLA.

Also included an image of another print where one of the walls has this effect.

Thank you so much!

    Hello!

    Thank you for your reply

My problem was just solved in another group, and I'm not sure how to close this thread (if possible).

There were multiple things I tried, but changing the top pattern and number of layers made it work!
