Technology-Day at Netfabb HQ

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

just wanted to let you guys know that myself + another Ultimaker

operator (Toni) are attending the FIT Technology-day in Lupburg

(Bavaria, Germany - 30th March). For orientation: It's a 50 minute car

drive from Nuremberg. It's also accessible via train.

(Free) Registration:

http://www.pro-fit.de/technologietag/te ... eldung.php

Would love to see some more UM operators there to get an update on

commercial rapid prototyping processes, the professional Netfabb

softwares and a chat with Alex on the engine. (BTW: Didn't had a

chance to have a look into the official 4.9 release yet...)

Let me know when coming, so that we can meet up. When I'm remembering

right they're expecting quite a crowd.

Hi Janosch,

great to have you in! Then it's already five of us: Toni, Andreas, Ian, you and myself. So four UM operators and with Ian a long-time fan of UM (and hopefully a operator himself in the near future).

Please drop me a mail through:

if we miss each other at the event. Then we exchange mobile numbers quickly. See you tomorrow!

    • Ultimaker Cura | a new interface
We're not only trying to always make Ultimaker Cura better with the usual new features and improvements we build, but we're also trying to make it more pleasant to operate. The interface was the focus for the upcoming release, from which we would already like to present you the first glance.

    • "Back To The Future" using Generative Design & Investment Casting
Designing for light-weight parts is becoming more important, and I’m a firm believer in the need to produce lighter weight, less over-engineered parts for the future. This is for sustainability reasons because we need to be using less raw materials and, in things like transportation, it impacts the energy usage of the product during it’s service life.
