The third line of a Cura generated Gcode file is ";Filament used: 123.456m". As far as I know there isn't a way to view weight other than the info near the Slice button in Cura (after you slice the model). PLA is 2.98grams/meter.
Simple text files don't have properties like Author or Date that you could assign the weight to. I suppose you could add it to the filename.
