Ultimaker S5 binding on X axis

Hello Community,

My S5 printer started having an issue where the X axis started to bind and wouldn't move. I removed the x axis motor away from the belt, and the motor is able to free spin. This leaves me to believe that the bind has to be caused by something mechanical . My gut feeling is that the black clip that holds the belt and sits on the rail is stuck. Has anyone else had this issue or knows if I should try removing the clip?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John
