I have the 64bit version of Ultimaker Cura installed on my Gateway laptop model NV570P-18U, OS Win 10 Pro. And the the 32bit version installed on my on my Toshiba Satellite L455-S5000, OS Win 10 Home 32bit. The Gateway has a 1TB HDD and 8GB of memory.  The Toshiba has a 500GB HDD with 4GB of memory.

When I start Cura on my Gateway laptop. I end up with the following error message  "Add a network printer,  there is no printer on your network,  add a non network printer" I can't close this printer box without using ctrl > Alt > Del. I don't have my own 3D printer. I have a 3D printer available to use at Confluent Space, Richland WA . I want to setup the Toshiba to take to the Confluent Space store.

When I start the 32bit version I get the following error message:   "could not initailze OpenGL. This program requires OpenGL 2.0 or higher. please check your video card drivers" then the program freezes and I have to use Ctrl > Alt > Del to close the program. The Toshiba has the most up to date video drivers available already installed.

I don't normally take the Gateway laptop "my primary computer" anywhere. It  won't fit my back pack. I have to carry the Gateway in a large book bag, and getting on the floor to unplug the power cord and all of the other cords is very hard for me. The Toshiba fits the back pack. I never have ran into this kind of a problem with the same program on 2 dif laptops.

I still have the Gateway laptop model NV570P-18U as a backup computer. But now I also have as my primary computer, a Gateway tower model FX-6840.  The Toshiba Satellite L455-S5000 laptop kicked the bucket.

That is not an error. You can add a Non-networked printer in that same dialog.

The networked printer options only work for Ultimaker printers.

That is an error. I looked up your laptop, and it seems to have an integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU. This should be enough to let Cura run, albeit not fully featured. However, when asking your system if it can use OpenGL, your system says "no" to Cura. This is indicative of a problem with the GPU driver. What GPU driver do you have installed? It could be that Intel has a newer driver (even if it is not specific to your laptop, it probably works).

Ambassador, Since the last post with the error message I got Cura working and I have been printing STL files from Thingiverse until today. The filament got stuck in the nozzle.  See the post   (a problem with a stuck filament)
