Using BASF TPU 85A Filament

I am curious if anyone has used BASF TPU 85A filament with the Ultimaker S5 Pro Bundle? Also, to achieve the full 85 durometer, would I just need to print with 100% infill? Any help appreciated as I am pretty new to 3d printing.

I tried to print the 95A for three days without success, I reduced the speed to 5 mm per second and even then, after some time the printing got stuck. I talked to basf and they confirmed that this material must have a direct drive system in order to be printed. I gave up on the 85 in advance.

    Hi @brennal and @id0424,

Where are you guys based from?

    Have a look at this

     and this: http://amg3d.com/

I'd be happy to test the Direct Drive system on UMS5 with TPU and your stl model.

BTW: Theoretically, yes you would need to print 100% infill to achieve the Shore 85A hardness. However keep in mind that once you print with 2mm shell thickness, the hardness will have more or less reached it's theoretical value.

    Let me know!
