Skin vs Outer Wall?

Hi,

Can somebody explain the difference between Skin and Outer Wall in Cura, they both sound like the same thing. From my understanding, the skin is the outer-outer most layer, and the outer wall is the layer inside of the skin?

I'm finding the naming really confusing.

Thanks!

Outer wall is the wall that, when looking in the XY plane, is the outermost wall. Skin is the area when looking from the bottom / top. So a skin area still has a outermost wall.
