Ultimaker Cura not recognizing Silhouette Alta+

I have silhouette alta plus that I cant get cura to recognize. I have tried multiple of the suggestions on here and nothing. I have set it up to setting that have matched other suggestions on here and I cant get it to work. When I slice the model I just get the download file and no ability to send to printer. When i click on the Preview tab it says please connect a printer. The printer is connected by usb and I have checked to make sure the setting for usb printing is on. Anyone have any ideas of how to fix this? The printer works fine with the silhouette 3d software but I am hoping to get it to work on Cura.

Same issue here.  I am running a new MAC with M1 processor which is the issue with the silhouette software.
